nib extends support of Newcastle Knights

Newcastle Knights with CEO Mark Fitzgibbon

We've announced an extension of our Principal Sponsorship of the nib Newcastle Knights, opens in a new tab for a further three seasons.

One of the Knights foundation partners, we've signed on until the end of the 2022 season maintaining our status as the longest continuous supporter of the region’s iconic sporting club.

"nib has a heritage in the Hunter and a long-standing association with the Club,' Knights CEO, Mr Philip Gardner said.

"Like the Knights, nib is part of the fabric of our region. To have nib remain on the front of a jersey that represents the region is not only wonderful for the team but is important for the town.

"We would like to thank nib for their continued support and look forward to a successful future together," he said.

nib Managing Director, Mark Fitzgibbon, said the sponsorship signifies nib's continued commitment to the people of Newcastle and the Hunter region understanding the vital role sport, and in particular rugby league, plays in the community.

"We've been there since the very beginning working closely with the club. It's a strong partnership that is an important part of our overall brand strategy, providing great exposure in what is traditional rugby league heartland.

"And while a lot of our growth and business expansion in recent years has been outside of the region, nib remains as committed as ever to supporting our local communities. Like many of our Hunter-based members, we take great pride in the Newcastle Knights and while recent success hasn’t been to everyone’s liking, we think the future looks much healthier," Mr Fitzgibbon added.

With the strength of this announcement, the nib Newcastle Knights can firmly focus on a new direction in 2020 and continue their drive for success.
