Gym and weight management claiming
Find out how to claim for gym memberships and weight management programs.
What does gym and weight management claiming include?
If you have Extras health cover with Healthier Lifestyle benefits, you may be able to claim for things like gym memberships and weight management programs.
This can help you cover costs for services that support your health and wellbeing, as long as they’re recommended by your GP or an nib-recognised provider.
The benefit shares an annual limit with a range of Healthier Lifestyle services. A shared annual limit is the maximum amount claimable per person in a calendar year across all Healthier Lifestyle services included within this benefit.
The services that are covered will depend on your health cover, but you might be able to claim for things like:
Gym memberships
Personal training
Quit smoking programs
Weight management programs (including, but not limited to, Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers).
