After your hospital visit
You may have a short or long recovery after being discharged from hospital. Here's what to expect when heading home from your procedure.
Coming home from hospital can be a stressful time. You may have a short or long recovery ahead of you, so it's important you focus on taking care of yourself after you have been discharged to recover quickly.
Before you leave the hospital you should receive after-care instructions from the doctors including any medications, instructions on physiotherapy or rehabilitation and any follow-up outpatient appointments.
You may receive some hospital or doctor's bills while you're recovering. We're here to help you with the claiming process so you can stay focused on your health. If you need more help after your procedure, we provide personalised health management programs and extra support for eligible nib members at no extra cost.
