Review or change your cover

Have your health needs changed? It might be time to review or update your cover to make sure it fits your lifestyle.

Things to remember before you change your health cover

  • You may have to serve waiting periods for any new services or increased annual limits as part of your new health cover

  • Any benefits previously paid under your old cover will be considered if you have annual limits on your level of cover

  • Upgrading your cover may result in higher premium

Just changed your cover? If you're having second thoughts, we have a 30-day cooling-off period. 

Call us within 30 days, and we’ll switch you back to your previous cover provided no claims have been made since the change.

How to review or change your cover

  1. Open the nib App and go to your ‘Account’ by selecting the top right icon 

  2. Tap on 'Change cover', this will automatically open a web browser where you can follow the prompts to select your excess, Extras and Hospital cover  

  3. Once you’re happy with the cover you’ve selected, tap ‘Update policy’  

  4. You will see a 'Success’ message when you have successfully updated your cover.

Enjoy the quickest and easiest way to stay on top of your cover. Claim wherever you are, access health services online and enjoy rewards and discounts.
