Missed a payment? No worries. Learn how you can get your premiums back on track.
Have sufficient funds in your account
If your direct debit fails due to insufficient funds, we’ll try a ‘catch up’ payment within seven days. Once successful, your payment cycle will return to normal.
Make a one off payment
To cover a missed payment, log in to your member account or use the nib App to make a one-off payment. We won ’t be able to process claims until your cover is up to date.

Sync payments with your paydays
Schedule your direct debit for the day after payday to ensure your premium is deducted when your funds are available.

If you find yourself behind on payments, don't worry. We understand that circumstances vary, so if you're facing challenges in paying your premium we’ll work with you to find a solution that suits you. Here are some options available to you:
Make a one-off payment, opens in a new tab: You can make a ‘catch-up’ payment anytime by making a one-off payment through your member account or the nib App.
Review your cover, opens in a new tab: Are you paying for cover you don’t need? Review your cover and excess online in your member account, via the nib App or contact us to chat with one of our friendly team members.
Suspending your policy, opens in a new tab: This is like putting your policy on hold – you won't pay any premiums, but you also won't be able to claim for services on your policy during this time.
