How to check your claims

Your previous claims makes up part of your overall health history, so we’ve made it easy and accessible for you to access your history whenever you need to.  

What happens after I’ve submitted my claim? 

Log in to the nib App, opens in a new tab to track the status of your claim! 

Your recent claims will appear on the homepage of your App. 

Status is ‘submitted’ means your claim is currently being processed. 

Once the claim has been successfully processed, the status will change to either ‘paid to you’ – where the payment has been deposited to your nominated bank account – or ‘paid to provider’ for when the payment is sent directly to your medical provider. 

Alternatively, tap the ‘Claims’ tab to view your claims history. Your claims won’t be visible on the homepage of your nib App after three months.

What if I can't see my claim?

Don’t worry if you can’t see your claim on the homepage of your nib App. As long as you have your confirmation email your claim is being processed.

Check your claims history in your member account 

  1. Log in to your member account, opens in a new tab

  2. Select ‘Claims history’ from the drop-down menu

  3. The ‘Recent claims’ section shows claims that you've submitted in the last week through your member account or nib App that are waiting to be processed.

  4. You can search for a specific claim by scrolling further down the page and using the filters to find your claim. Filter by Extras or Hospital, or by date.
