We have special agreements with healthcare professionals and practices across Australia. By choosing to see a health care provider in our network, you can get better value by being charged less, just for being an nib member. We have different arrangements such as Clinical Partners, GapSure Cardiology, GapSure Anaesthetics, opens in a new tab, the First Choice network, opens in a new tab and MediGap, opens in a new tab.

It's important to check with your chosen provider if they are willing to participate in our MediGap scheme or if they work with GapSure anaesthetists.

MediGap aims to eliminate or reduce the 'gap' for fees you may have to pay a specialist when you go to hospital. When a specialist chooses to participate in MediGap for your procedure, they agree to charge either a No Gap or a Known Gap of up to $500. This program is designed to provide you with clarity and peace of mind about potential costs so you can better manage your healthcare expenses. Ask your specialist if they'll participate in MediGap for you.

Our Clinical Partners program offers members access to a network of experienced orthopaedic surgeons, who won't charge you any extra costs.

Our GapSure Cardiology network guarantees No Gap for cardiology procedures to help limit your out of pocket costs. Check the fees for your anaesthetist and assistant surgeon before you book surgery, as they are not a part of this arrangement and could charge you an out of pocket cost. If you’re covered for cardiology procedures, you may still need to pay your excess. An easy way to reduce your out of pocket expenses and make the most of your health cover is to attend an nib Agreement Hospital for your procedure.

Our GapSure Anaesthetists network guarantees a No Gap or Known Gap up to $500 for anaesthetic services to help limit your out of pocket costs.

Only healthcare providers in our network will appear in the Find a Provider search tool. That doesn't mean you can't see the provider of your choice, but they may charge you more than providers we have special agreements with.

No - you can see any provider you want, as long as they meet nib's recognised provider criteria. If you do choose to see a provider outside of our network, they may charge you more than the providers we have special agreements with.

Contact your provider to discuss costs and options before you arrange to see them or book any treatment. We have different arrangements like First Choice, opens in a new tab and MediGap, opens in a new tab, so check with your chosen provider if they participate and how they might be able to help keep your costs down. We don't have special agreements with all healthcare professionals, that's why some won't appear in our tool. You can still see any provider you choose, as long as they meet nib's recognised provider criteria and you're covered for that service. In most cases your provider just needs to have a Medicare registration, but Natural Therapies providers must be registered with a specific association, so call us to check before you book an appointment.
