Since the flooding in December, Cape York Partnership has been working in collaboration with many community organisations to support case coordination for the displaced Wujal Wujal families.

nib foundation’s donation has helped ensure families’ needs are met and they are connected with the right services. This includes financial counselling, social and emotional wellbeing support, transportation and other essential needs.

Cape York Partnership's Manager for Wujal Wujal Recovery, Audrey Deemal shared the funds went a long way to helping those affected. Residents shared that being away from home for such a long time takes a toll.

In excellent news, all Wujal Wujal families have now returned home, healthy and in good spirits.
