We welcomed new members to nib by inviting them to decide where nib foundation would donate $40,000.

To introduce nib members to our charity partners, between April and June we gave new nib members the chance to decide where nib foundation would donate $40,000. Members had $10 to donate to one of three charities, Lifeline, OzHarvest and Ronald McDonald House Charities, who work every day to support community health and wellbeing.

These $10 donations made an impact with over $17,000 donated to Lifeline, more than $13,000 to OzHarvest and $8,000 to Ronald McDonald House!

Where will the funding go?

Lifeline Australia, opens in a new tab

Every 30 seconds, a person in Australia reaches out to Lifeline for help. Their purpose is to ensure all Australians experiencing emotional distress have access to their 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.

OzHarvest, opens in a new tab

Food waste costs Australia $36.6 billion a year, while five and a half million people experience food insecurity every year. Feeding hungry people and stopping good food from going to waste underpins everything OzHarvest does. They rescue and redistribute food to those who need it most, especially during times of increased need.

Ronald McDonald House Charities, opens in a new tab

When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, it impacts the whole family. Ronald McDonald House Charities offers a range of programs that support the families physical, emotional, and practical need when their child has a serious illness.

A special thank you to nib’s members for taking part in our vote and for supporting our community partners and the valuable work they do every day.
