For the past two years, we’ve partnered with Awabakal Ltd to bring to life their cultural camps in the Hunter Region.
The camps invite local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth to come together to participate in traditional language workshops, bush tucker experiences, local aboriginal history and culture sessions, tool and dancing workshops and aboriginal art workshops.

Over the two years, almost 50 youth has participated in the camps with the latest delivered by Winangay Dreaming at the Yamuloong Cultural Centre in April this year. Last year’s camp was held at Glenrock Reserve.
It’s an opportunity for youth to get-together and explore their deep history, tradition, and culture.
